While 2008 is a year that I (and most likely you) will be happy to forget, I don’t want to feel the same way about this entire year. While most people set resolutions at the start of a New Year, this isn’t something I had really done before. That being said, I was committed to changing this year, so I came up with something I was going to follow. Since I had gotten stuck in a bit of a rut, I decided the perfect thing for me to do was to go more places during this year. To ensure I followed through on this, I started making plans right away.
In case you are wondering, I just got back from Miami, which was the vacation I planned at the beginning of the year. Thanks to the Internet, all of my travel arrangements (including my Miami car rental) were made ahead of time. It was this advance planning and the ability to pick up my Miami car rental in no time that made my trip so easy to enjoy. This was a very good thing, because it reinforced my previous feelings that there is truly a lot of value to traveling.
Even though it would have been nice to stay in Miami for longer, all trips have to come to an end (regardless of how much fun they are). However, there are still over eight months left in this year! The homepage on my computer is currently set to a travel deals web site, and the reason for this is because I already know that as soon as I find an offer that looks good, I will be scheduling and taking off again in the next couple of months.
